I usually like them, but they pissed me off tonight

I just heard the adorable little youngsters on Glenn Beck's "Real News" somewhat belittling the angst and sorrow, the depression and hopelessness felt by a lot of Conservatives as a result of the recent election,  and bad-mouthing the reflex of some of them to petition to secede from the Union....as they referenced the story that citizens of thirty-four states have introduced petitions for "Peaceful Secession" on the White House website since the election.

That just pissed me off. Only one guy, Buck, made it clear that he understood the anger of the people they were talking about, and that he recognized the concern over the fact of the changing values, virtues and morality of government and our culture, and the criminal, extra-constitutional behavior of this regime...and that it was most deeply troubling.

One other went on about the discussions the Republicans have to have about how best to "message" during the next four years....(is she fucking kidding?), and one, believing the American Exceptionalism is not dead, and that "the government is not the culture"...believes that Americans will continue to pay taxes, build businesses, raise families and do what they've always done. (Somehow in spite of a rogue, out-of-control, criminal, above-the-law, unconstitutional government, taxing and regulating individuals and businesses, like coal and shale and oil, out of existence, inducing hyper-inflation and shortages of all human necessities...one assumes.)

How out of touch can these pipsqeaks be??

They even casually agreed that the idea of secession was "selfish".

I'm sorry....what?

Let me see if I can make something crystal fucking clear:

"I" AM MORE IMPRTANT THAN THE GOVERNMENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

ME.

I  am.

The "I". The INDIVIDUAL of "Individual Liberty".

"I" precede government. "I" am its sole reason for existence.

Without ME, it ceases to have a purpose.

The government of the United States of America was instituted among men for no other reason than to secure MY rights. (See: Declaration of Independence, 1776)

And when said government becomes "destructive of those ends"...it no longer has any reason to exist.

There is no question of my loyalty to the Government of the United States of America. That is a fantasy. (The wish and desire of Statists, fools, derelicts, collectivists, the Borg, and Øbama.)

There is only the question of ITS loyalty to ME and its purpose/responsibility of securing MY rights.

When it ceases in that primary function, I am completely within my INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS to sever our relationship.

The government exists at MY pleasure. It was instituted my ME, and derives its power from ME.

The Declaration states that is is the right of the people to alter or abolish the Government of the United States if it stops fulfilling its function of securing INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS.

MY rights.

Secessionists are being more polite, more thoughtful, more civilized than that. They are willing to allow the government who has failed in its fundamental, sole duty, to continue to exist for the benefit of the 51% of idiots who have voted to be tyrannized. They only wish to walk away peacefully, and institute ANOTHER government. One that will indeed secure INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS.

MY rights.

So don't you self-righteous, self-described sophisticate little shits mock individual secessionists.

There is an option to Peaceful Secession. Perhaps you've heard of it.
