Are We Past the Awkward Stage?

"America is at that awkward stage. It's too late to work within the system, but too early to shoot the bastards."

Claire Wolfe, 101 Things to Do 'Til the Revolution

* * *

When do we get to start shooting the bastards? 'Cause we'd better do it before it's too late.

We have the firepower. We just have to know when to use it.

We can't jump the gun, or we'll be seen as lone-wolf crazies or simple criminals.

But we can't wait until the government agents are at our door to confiscate our guns or after it makes ammunition almost impossible to buy*. Because that is where the Progressive Collectivists are heading...Second Amendment be damned...that you can count on.

Better people than I are considering the problem. Here're the thoughts of one of them, in chronological order:

Where to Draw the Line (2009)

Where to Draw the Line (September 2014)

Government Thugs are certainly working on the intimidation angle...who will be next?

 A little info on the Olofson Case

We need a plan.

*California almost passed a bill to require background checks for all ammunition sales. Time-consuming. Expensive. Invasive. It didn't pass this time...but in the People's Republic of California...it will.

  1. I think the question should be are we past the opportunity for an Awkward Moment. Reading the articles you linked was a fascinating look back on how the Nazis quelled any resistance without raising any alarms that might have provoked an armed uprising. Our government, all three branches and both parties are taking a similar tack. A lot of legislation, court decisions and executive orders center about diminishing the ability to resist government tyranny. What may appear to be an occasional win in the courts is by and large so trivial compared to what has been lost and, in my opinion, a bone thrown to the dogs. To a lawless government, laws and court decisions mean nothing.

    In the coming three class society (it always comes in three classes – check Plato to start and Orwell to finish) there will be the wealthy, the well to do and the working poor. The working poor will live on the edge of survival and certainly not influence any political decisions with contributions. They won't have the money to make contributions. The wealthy and well to do are mostly government pawns content with the status quo. They harass their opponents causing them to lose time, money and momentum. Just as Hitler removed the opposition leadership, the Lois Lerner's in government are doing the same thing.

    It may come down to sheriffs faithful to the Constitution and armed posses of citizens with the will to back them up when the confrontations finally materialize. That aside however, it is time for guerrilla warfare against the unlawful government at every level. I'll not discuss those tactics at this time but we must plan for the time when organized resistance is annihilated just as the Nazis did with their opponents. That time is very near.
