How Is This Possible?

Who is this unpleasant looking man, you ask?  It's Tom Wheeler, head of the FCC....
And why do I have his unfortunate face on the top of this post, you ask?

I'm sorry.  What?

I suggest that CONGRESS, the CITIZEN REPRESENTING legislative branch of the UNITED STATES REPUBLIC, defund the FCC immediately and completely. Delete it. End it. Close it down. And put this sanctimonious, arrogant asshole and his cronies out of a job, post haste.*

And why in the world does this man, and his five-person panel have the power to control the entire internet of the entire country, created by/enlarged by/contributed to by/used by 100's of millions of people, and millions of business enterprises—WITHOUT THEIR CONSENT?

How did it come to this?

Who the fuck ARE these people?

And why are WE standing for this shit?

Perilously close to the breaking point.

/gun

*And, please, spare me any argument how necessary the FCC is for organized communications. They are not. They are just one more alphabet agency of the Central Government created for nothing more or less than the control of the citizenry.

  1. I am as apalled as you about how a newspeak-labelled "regulation" gets foisted on us by unelected partisan hacks in the same period that the BATFEXYZ are about to ban green-tip 5.56 ammo on a pretext which the meanest understanding of the law on armorpirecing ammunition could see through.....when, where does it end? Can it end peacefully?

  2. Can it end peacefully? Unless there is a sea change in the next few years, I don't expect it can.

I think it prudent to prepare for the alternate eventuality.

As I answer this, the phony, outrageous .223/5.56 ban has been abandoned by ATF because of public/politician pressure. But I do not expect them, at least under Øbama, to give up.
